Base Reference GNU/Linux Build Sequence

To compile and install, run these commands:

cd /sources/ &&
tar -xzf ruby-1.8.7-p248.tar.gz &&
cd ruby-1.8.7-p248 &&
./configure &&
make &&
make install 

The output should look something like this:
